Miss Danaher 1C
Hello, my name is Katie Danaher and I am a 1st grade teacher at St. John XXIII. I am thrilled to be starting my third year in this wonderful school! I am originally from Steubenville, Ohio and moved to Arizona in June of 2015. I am a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I've felt called to be a teacher from a very early age. I grew up with my mom teaching in the Catholic school I attended, and later had her as my junior high principal. Her example, along with many others, inspired me to enter the profession of teaching, and I am so very glad I did! I feel privileged to be able share my faith daily and partake in the mission of teaching in a Catholic school. My own school community always felt like an extension of my family and I've loved building relationships with the students and families of St. John XXIII.
In my time outside the classroom I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am a proud aunt of a 4-year-old nephew and 20 month old niece, who are both Gilbert natives. I look forward to partnering with you in the education of your children. I will strive to instill in them a love of learning and of our Lord.

I am thrilled to be joining the 1st grade team at St. John XXIII!
I have my degree in Health Promotion from NAU and worked many years in marketing. I was a stay-at-home mom when my kids were babies, then started working at a local Christian preschool for the past four years – I love being in the classroom.
A native of AZ, I grew up in Flagstaff and have now been living in the Valley since 2000. I am married and have two children – Shaye (10) and Bryce (7).
In my free time, I love to camp, hike, cook, and spend time with my family. We love to spend time in Flagstaff, Pinetop, and lakes around Arizona.
I am excited to get to know you and your children in the coming year.
In His Love,
