Miss Danaher 1C
Hello, my name is Katie Danaher and I am a 1st grade teacher at St. John XXIII. I am thrilled to be starting my fourth year in this wonderful school! I am originally from Steubenville, Ohio and moved to Arizona in June of 2015. I am a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I've felt called to be a teacher from a very early age. I grew up with my mom teaching in the Catholic school I attended, and later had her as my junior high principal. Her example, along with many others, inspired me to enter the profession of teaching, and I am so very glad I did! I feel privileged to be able share my faith daily and partake in the mission of teaching in a Catholic school. My own school community always felt like an extension of my family and I've loved building relationships with the students and families of St. John XXIII.
In my time outside the classroom I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am a proud aunt of a 5-year-old nephew, 2 year old niece, and niece number three expected to arrive mid December! I look forward to partnering with you in the education of your children. I will strive to instill in them a love of learning and of our Lord.
